Papplesauce Oatmeal Cookies

8 – 1 oz. cubes of Jack’s Harvest papplesauce (thawed)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg whites
2 cups rolled oats (quick cooking)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup raisins, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Grease baking sheet. Mix flour, baking powder, allspice, and salt. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg whites; beat well. Add dry ingredients. Stir in oats, papplesauce, and raisins. Mix well.

Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet.

Bake 11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on rack.

Makes 5 dozen cookies, depending on size.
