Green Market Baking Book

We had such a great time at Taste of Atlanta this year – I still haven’t managed to upload all the photos, but it is on my Dead Sea Scroll length To-Do list and I’ll post them soon.


In the meantime, I wanted to let you all know about a wonderful cook book called Green Market Baking Book written by Laura Martin.  She was our neighbor at the Go Local Pavilion and these recipes are in a word YUM!  In her words, the book will allow you to lose the sugar with recipes for sweet and savory treats that use only natural sweeteners and seasonal products:  no white sugar, corn syrup or chemical substitutes allowed! In the Green Market Baking Book: 100 Delicious Recipes for Naturally Sweet and Savory Treats celebrity chefs from acress America contribute their favortie recipes to this unique collection, which ofers suggestions for delicious dairy and gluten free treats, along with vegan and low-fat variations.  And every recipe has been tested and re-tested to perfection.

The book is available at all the major online book sellers including, Borders and Barnes and Noble.  There are some amazing recipes like:

Laura lives in Atlanta and has published 24 books over the last thirty years and written many articles for various periodicals and newspapers, including a weekly column for the AJC.  Laura has appeared on TV and radio and has lectured and conducted workshops on various themes, including gardening and baking.
